Well, the one from work is anyway.
Clemence said something to me one day in the snow last month. I was trying as usual to get by in French, and said that I spoke French like a child does.
She said, "Would it not be best if everyone could only speak as a child does? No cursing, no words to tell lies or to break a heart."
I was all exhilarated at the time, but even so it struck me as a lovely thought. More so today.
